Job Overview
Booking Holdings (BHI) is looking for a Global Data Privacy Manager to join the BHI Global Privacy Team and support BHI’s Global Privacy Program. This is an exciting role with global exposure as the Global Data Privacy Manager will work with company stakeholders in various brands and functions around the world, with a key focus on supporting the implementation, oversight of compliance and conformity with BHI's Global Privacy Program, including BHII’s Privacy Program Framework and applicable privacy and data protection laws.
Responsibilities and Duties
As a Global Data Privacy Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Privacy Program Support and Risk Assessment: Support the further development of the BHI Global Privacy Program, and serve as a BHI group wide internal point of contact for obtaining advice, supporting privacy impact and risk assessments for new products and processes which includes close collaboration with other BHI Global Privacy Team members or colleagues from other departments. Where appropriate, the responsibilities can include the escalation or support of remediation of identified risks.
Data Lifecycle Management: Develop and maintain data maps, records of processing for BHI, including linkages to privacy impact assessments.
Written Procedures: Draft and implement policies and procedures and detecting opportunities for developing granular documents to provide guidance to support business objectives in regards to privacy risk management.
Privacy Management Operations: enhance and support privacy operations management which can include managing data subject requests and further build out privacy operations management processes.
Training & Awareness: assist with privacy training requirements and awareness campaigns as needed, including communications, content development and completion oversight.
Third Party Management: support the privacy third party assessment process and, where applicable, the transfer impact assessment process, which can include drafting appropriate privacy contract templates.
Incident Management: support privacy incidents and personal data breach response activities, including incident intake, assessments, documentation and escalations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (Undergraduate or professional degree in related specialty preferred)
At least 5-8 years experience and 3-5 in a privacy compliance role. Or equivalent industry or regulatory experience with strong focus on data privacy, particularly compliance with the GDPR
Demonstrated organizational skills
Critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and resourcefulness
Strong interpersonal skills, organizational savvy and an ability to influence others
Ability to think creatively to resolve issues
Proactive and ability to work independently
Strong project management skills
True team player
Fluency in English; strong written and verbal communication skills
