Job Overview
The Corporate Development team at Booking Holdings is very active and has been responsible for acquisitions that now provide over 90% of Booking Holdings’ operating income. Noted prior acquisitions include: Getaroom, OpenTable, KAYAK, TravelJigsaw (now rentalcars.com), Agoda and Booking.com; notable strategic investments include Meituan, Trip.com, DiDi and Grab. Over the past 10 years the team has completed $10+ billion of M&A transactions and strategic investments.
The successful Analyst candidate will be an integral part of a small team that identifies, evaluates and executes acquisitions and strategic investments globally for Booking Holdings. The role is intended to be a minimum 3-year commitment with longer-term potential.
Responsibilities and Duties
Develops detailed financial and valuation models
Conducts business due diligence and coordinates all due diligence across corporate functions and brands
Performs timely and relevant industry research and strategic analyses
Prepares thoughtful and concise presentations for senior management and the Board of Directors
Maintains and updates key valuation and target-tracking databases
Prepares ad-hoc analyses for senior management
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
1-3 years of experience
Deep understanding of finance and accounting
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
Track record of defining and executing key analyses with minimal supervision
Ability to see the “Big Picture”; Understand, at a macro level, the key drivers and risks of a business and/or industry
Experience communicating complex information to senior leaders
Experience creating Powerpoint presentations for senior executives
Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally up 10%
High level of energy and maturity
