Job Overview

Booking Holdings is currently undergoing a Finance Transformation initiative that will drive effective finance support for business management; promote strong governance and control in the organization; and have a world-class finance organization in terms of execution and efficiency. This program is focused on bringing standard business processes across our portfolio of brands, and will rely on our financial systems to establish and drive standards (People, Process, and Systems) 

To support this transformation, the organization has created a Global Business Services (GBS) Organization. This organization consists of newly established Global Process Owner Organization (Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Contract Lifecycle Management, and others); and Transformation focused roles (Enterprise Program Management, Process Excellence, Communications & Change, Master Data, and Financial Analysis) 

As part of our procure to pay transformation, we are in the process of implementing a new set of financial systems leveraging Ivalua ; SAP Invoice Management by OpenText (VIM); Simfoni Spend Analytics; and SAP S/4 Hana. These programs are being deployed across our portfolio of brands, and led by our Global Process Owner Procure to Pay, with close partnerships from our brand leaders, and executive sponsors. To assist in driving these initiatives, Booking Holdings is looking for a Manager, Procure to Pay Global Business Services. 

This role will be responsible for working across a broad group of stakeholders with different interests and priorities. This role will be critical in operating within the GPO organization to assist the P2P leadership with execution of these critical initiatives. The role will have significant leadership responsibility and will be expected to drive change through influence, relationships, communications, and execution. This individual will have experience working between the business and Financial Technology/ Financial Systems to lead requirements gathering, translate changes in business process into technical requirements, and to assist in the development of process documentation. This role will also be responsible for the development of test cases, test scenarios, planning user acceptance testing, in addition to training, business adoption, and ongoing continuous improvement. This role will also be required to work effectively and to coordinate across 3rd parties and system integrators. And finally, to assist in overseeing process and strategy improvements related to Sourcing, Procurement, Supplier Management, Receiving, Invoicing, and Payments, as well as managing PTP technology developments through S/4 HANA and Ivalua SaaS solutions. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Leverage global technical solutions and process to drive common practice across portfolio of Brands (Booking.com, Agoda, Priceline, Open Table, Kayak, and others) 

  • Provide weekly status updates to EPMO, highlighting key milestones, risks, issues, and cross-functional dependencies 

  • Collaborate with the Controls Integration team to ensure design is in compliance standard SOX policies 

  • Understands local requirements (Regional, Brand, or Business Unit Specific) to translate into a global set of requirements for our technical teams to deliver a global solution 

  • Drive complex discussions across business, technical, and 3rd parties to translate into a clear future state process, value proposition, with supporting technical requirements 

  • Can support GPO in driving ongoing leadership forums, steering committees, and roadshows to foster positive working relationships, deal with issues timely, manage risks, and build program momentum 

  • Assist GPO in bringing industry best practices to the functional teams and focus on leading practices.. 

  • Develop business process flows using Visio, Lucid, or other process mapping tools to clearly document current to future state requirements

  • Ability to drive fit gap discussions 

  • Perform root cause analysis, structured problem solving, and value stream mapping 

  • Drive business readiness and change management within the PTP functions to support new process and or technology rollouts 

  • Build and manage business requirements, training documentation, process playbooks, SOPs and repository 

  • Drive common practices across GPO organization , working with Record to Report, Procure to Pay, and other process areas beyond P2P 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline – MBA a plus 

  • Minimum of 5 years supporting Procure to Pay Process 

  • Experience with ERP implementations, SAP Modules, and Configuration a plus 

  • Direct experience with implementations of P2P systems ideally Ivalua, or equivalent (Ariba, Coupa,ect) 

  • Experience with Contract management systems helpful such as Icertis, or Conga 

  • Experience with workflow systems and business process automation ● Experience being involved in large-scale transformation programs ● Demonstrated knowledge of Business Process Improvement, Process excellence, and operational excellence 

  • Demonstrated use of analysis and metrics relating to adoption, progress and overall business operational performance that transferred to continuous improvement or new ways of working 

  • Ability to work in a team environment, effectively interacting with others

  • Must be results-oriented, demonstrate adaptability, flexibility, and resourcefulness 

  • Strong project management skills for planning, resourcing, monitoring multiple projects and initiatives 

  • Strong qualitative, quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Collaborative team player orientation towards work relationships aligned to company values 

  • Capable of developing process where none existed, partner with business and IT to recommend and develop comprehensive plans to improve business process and performance in multiple areas 

  • High degree of creativity, vision and adaptability to changing trends and/or business demands 

  • Ability to work in a consistently growing environment and with partners in person and virtual 

  • Ability to take full ownership of things in support of GPO with minimal supervision and direction. Manage time and effectively prioritize demand

  • Ability to understand strategic vision to develop and execute an approach to new or improved business processes aligned to supporting technical solutions.  

  • Strong skills in development and maintenance of documentation such as process mapping, SOPs, business process documents, business data glossaries (including advanced use of Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
