We are looking for a Program Manager to drive our strategic HR projects forward by acting as the critical resource in developing project and resource plans in collaboration with various stakeholders, monitoring and tracking progress, driving milestones to completion and communicating all project status and issues effectively to ensure resolution and successful project completion. This role will support one of the key functions at Booking Holdings in service of our mission of making it easier for everyone to experience the world.
This role will report to the Director, HR PMO and Change Management.
Responsibilities and Duties
The HR Program Manager is responsible for the governance and end-to-end program management of up to several projects at once, including across the brands. The Program Manager role partners with the various teams within the department to support and facilitate the work occurring between them and other business units and centralized functions. This resource must be able to effectively handle competing priorities and initiatives and manage the change associated with the projects.
Responsible with limited to no supervision to define scope, kick-off, manage and execute every phase of complex department programs, specifically:
Drive vision for initiative/program towards clear business objectives, scope, requirements & success criteria
Create clear planning documents and roadmaps together with involved teams and departments including setup and maintenance of dependency management
Regular tracking and reporting status and progress of all streams of work, highlighting where required, risk/issues to governance groups or team members
Enable tracking and execution of project change control processes
Enable teams & leaders to make quality decisions and support in prioritization exercises
Track the identification and reporting around program resource requirements and commitments in partnership with organization stakeholders (i.e. Business and IT teams across brands)
Support development of project communications and leadership updates
Productively interact with and manage senior stakeholders (up to VP level)
In addition, identify opportunities to improve the impact & employee experience for our colleagues, resulting in potential new process improvement areas
8-12 years of experience
Experience successfully delivering programs and/or multiple projects on-time, in scope, on budget and to agreed level of quality
Experience operating in a global environment with appreciation of cultural differences, and ability to build consensus across geographies and business units
Experience building business cases and presenting to various stakeholders, including senior leadership, in a way that generates understanding and alignment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (research, writing, editing, presentation, speaking) with the ability to quickly build credibility and influence
Self motivated and successful in operating independently with limited oversight; strong sense of personal accountability
Analytical mindset, with ability to draw actionable insights from data to tell a narrative and create action plans
